Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Q: I've paid my deposit but now I need to postpone my wedding or change the date - can I do that?
A: Yes! As long as your new date/time does NOT conflict with a previously scheduled wedding/event.

Q: Are tips expected/accepted?
A: While NOT required, tips ARE appreciated!

Q: How much notice is required for you to perform our wedding ceremony?
A: We would prefer at least a week's notice, but we also understand emergency situations and are willing to work with you.

Q: I live in another state but will be having my wedding in Colorado.  How do I do that?
A: You do not need to be a resident of Colorado to be married here.  See the "Marriage License Information" page for more on that.  Colorado is a beautiful state and many people travel from other states just to have their wedding take place here.  We will do everything we can to help make this an easier process for you.  Just email me and we'll get to work on it!

Q: I live out of state but will be having my wedding in Colorado.  We would like to meet you face to face before the wedding ceremony but we will be arriving a mere 6 hours before the ceremony.  Is that too late for you to meet with us?
A: No, it's never too late for us to meet.  We are here for you and will go out of our way to do whatever we need to do in order for you to feel comfortable during the actual wedding ceremony.

Q: How often can we meet/talk before the wedding before you start charging me by the hour? LOL
A: As often as you want to meet or talk!  Once we've met and you've decided to have me perform your ceremony, we can meet or talk as often as you'd like!  Even if you would just like to meet for a cup of coffee and discuss your day at work, I'm happy to do that!

Q: I've chosen you to perform my ceremony and you've met with me and my intended.  Now my dad/mom/grandmother/etc wants to check you out before the wedding.  Do you mind?
A: Of course I don't mind! I'll meet anyone who wants to meet me. I enjoy performing the ceremonies, but I also enjoy meeting all the people who will be there as well! Bring 'em on!

Q: Do you have personal limits on what kind of themed weddings you will participate in?
A: No. I'm very open-minded.  Whatever makes you happy will make me happy! And costumes are so much fun!

Q: I already have a ceremony that I really like.  Will you perform that ceremony or do you only perform ceremonies that you've written?
A: The ceremony is up to the couple! If you have your own, I'd love to perform that one for you.  If you need help writing a ceremony or just the vows, I'll help there too! Or if you'd rather just use one of mine, well, that's another option for you!

Q: I have children (or my intended does) from a previous relationship or we have a child/children together.  Can they participate in the ceremony?
A: Yes! That would be wonderful, especially for them! A marriage is a big event in the eyes of a child and it will be even more exciting if they are active participants! I'd love to help you create the perfect ceremony that will include the children.  When you have children before the ceremony, then you are truly creating a new family and all members should be included!
